MyShots helps conference delegates find photographs of themselves. You take a selfie, we work out which event photos you appear in, and we show them to you. This page explains exactly what we do with your information — in plain language, because face data deserves a plain explanation.
The short version. We turn your selfie into a string of numbers and use that to find your photographs. The full-size picture is never stored; we keep only a small thumbnail, so the organiser can find you if you ask them for your photos in person. Ask us and everything of yours is deleted. We never sell anything, and we never share your data between events.
MegAscends Infotech LLP builds and operates MyShots. We act on behalf of the conference organiser who invited you — they decide which photographs exist and who may see them; we process that data on their instructions.
For anything about your own data, write to info@eventellglobal.com. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner.
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your name | So we can label your gallery and address you properly | 12 months |
| Your selfie full size |
To work out what you look like | Not stored — discarded within seconds |
| A thumbnail of it 240 pixels across |
So the organiser can recognise you if you come and ask for your photographs at the event | Until you ask us to delete it |
| A face template a string of numbers |
To match you against event photographs, and to check again if more photos arrive later | 12 months |
| Your email | To tell you when your photos turn up | 12 months, or until you unsubscribe |
| Your phone number only if you give it |
So the organiser can reach you about your photographs | 12 months, or until you ask us to remove it |
| Which photos matched you | So you don't have to take a selfie twice | 12 months |
A face template is a list of measurements — distances and proportions — stored as numbers. It is not a picture and cannot be turned back into one. It is meaningless outside our system.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, this is sensitive personal data, and we treat it that way:
MyShots runs on three services, each doing one job:
| Amazon Web Services Mumbai, India |
Creates and stores the face template. Amazon does not use it for any purpose of their own. |
| Cloudflare R2 Asia-Pacific |
Stores the event photographs, and the thumbnail of your selfie. |
| Google Firebase Mumbai, India |
Stores your name, your email, your phone number if you gave one, and which photos matched you. |
Photographs and personal data are held in India. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers — ever.
If you choose to share your photos, we prepare an image and a caption for you. Nothing is posted anywhere unless you do it.
Should you connect your LinkedIn account, we ask only for permission to publish the post you have seen and approved. We do not read your feed, your connections or your messages, and we cannot post again without you asking. You can disconnect at any time from your LinkedIn settings, and we delete the connection immediately.

Everything for an event — photographs, face templates, names, emails, match history — is kept only while it is needed to deliver photographs from that event, and is then removed. There is no archive and no backup that outlives it.
You can have yours deleted at any time. Ask us and we remove your face template and your record, so nothing of yours can be searched or matched again. Write to info@eventellglobal.com.
MyShots is for conference delegates and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly process a child's face. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it at once.
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Anything materially different will be put to you before it applies.
